Brentwood Presbyterian Church is a warm, welcoming community of faith located in Los Angeles.
Every October is Stewardship season, a time when members are asked to dontate their time, talent,
and treasure to the church. This Stewardship season was achored by the sermon series, ‘Interconnected’.
The series explored how interpersonal relationships and connection are the way to build a rewarding and
inspired life. The image reflects the church’s location in Los Angeles, as well as it’s diversity, warmth and humanity.

The same image needed to be used in a variety of horizontal and vertical aspect ratios. It was important that
the message of warmth, diversity and interconnectedness could read regardless of how the image was cropped.

Roadtrip

This image is part of a series of drawings I made to celebrate my adopted hometown of Los Angeles.
It’s my interpretation of the 5 hour drive from Los Angeles to Mammoth Lakes. The original drawing was posted on
instagram as a series of 7 drawings. Sliding through the drawings reinforces the idea of looking out out the the car
window on a roadtrip. The brushstrokes in the color further enhance the feeling of motion.
